THE LAND OF SAINTS..

Maharashtra is said to be the land saints like Dnyaneshwar,Tukaram,Eknath,Gjanan Maharaj,Sai Baba... so it's very intresting to know and visit their holy palaces.

AJANTA CAVE

The Ajanta Caves constitute ancient monasteries and worship-halls of different Buddhist traditions carved into a 250-feet wall of rock.[8][9] The caves also present paintings depicting the past lives and rebirths of the Buddha, pictorial tales from Aryasura's Jatakamala, and rock-cut sculptures of Buddhist deities.[8][10][11] Textual records suggest that these caves served as a monsoon retreat for monks, as well as a resting-site for merchants and pilgrims in ancient India.[8] While vivid colours and mural wall-painting were abundant in Indian history as evidenced by historical records, Caves 16, 17, 1 and 2 of Ajanta form the largest corpus of surviving ancient Indian wall-painting.

FORTS AND BEECHES 

Maratha Empire has been established by Chhatarpati Shivaji Maharaj and expanded by his successor like Smbhaji and Peshwas .They conquered the forts and restored them. Raigad , Rajgad , Torna , Panhla , Singhgad are some of them..Where as Padmadurga is sea fort that had been build to conqure the fort of Murud Janjira which had been built by Siddhi.Western Ghat is full of bio-diversity and blessed by beautiful beaches like Ratnagiri-are-Ware beach , Alibagh, Dapoli ..

HOLY PLACES

Some temples are located on the beaches like Harihareshwar , Ganapati pule and some temples increase the beauty of rivers. Pndarpur is said to be dashkin Kashi were as temple of Trambkeshwar is increasing the beauty of Bramhgiri..Mahalaxmi and Turja Bhavani are divine powers of Maharashtra .Gurudwara of Nanded is also atrraction center of the tourists.

HILL  STATIONS AND JUNGAL SAFARI 

Teak is prominant tree species in the forest of Tadoba  along with dry decidious type. It is shelter for shy sloth bear and wild dogs , monkeys , wild buffalow , dear , antilope. The main attraction of the Tadoba National is a Jungal or tiger safari in an opne to jipsi .
